You cam mail your application for your new Florida CCW in the provided envelope you will receive at all of our classes. To reduce mailing time you can drop off your application at a regional office of The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Licensing.
An appointment is NOT required.The doors are kept locked due to Covid-19 and the state instructions are to knock on the door and the onsite security officer will come to the door and accept your application. They will enter your information in the computer system at the local office reducing processing time.

In person application submission is an option. An appointment IS required. You must call the Tallahassee office to make an appointment. The phone number is (850) 245-5300. All you need to bring to your appointment is your Certificate of Completion for firearms safety training, a government issued photo I.D. such as a drivers license and payment of $97
You will fill out the application on a computer in their office, they will take your photograph and electronically scan your fingerprints into the system. There is no additional cost for these services. This can reduce the processing time of your application.
CALL ASAP TO MAKE A RESERVATION AS THEY ARE OFTEN BOOKED UP FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS IN ADVANCE.

The entire process of applying for a Florida concealed carry permit can be completed online. It is required that you upload your Certificate of Completion and a passport style photograph taken in the last 60 days to be used on your new CCW.
The final step in fingerprinting which can be done electronically at most Florida Sheriff Offices. Due to Covid-19 many of their offices are currently closed to the public. An alternative would to be ink fingerprinted by a law enforcement agency employee and then mail your fingerprint card to the state.
