If you are interested in obtaining you Florida concealed carry weapons permit (CCW) also called a concealed weapons license (CWL) and live in or near Broward County or will be visiting the Fort Lauderdale area at any time, you have found the solution.This is the State of Florida approved firearm safety training class required to complete prior to applying for your Florida concealed weapons license. The Florida CCW / CWL is available to all U.S. citizens and non U.S. citizens with permanent alien resident status twenty-one (21) years of age or older. Florida residency is NOT required. This is a comprehensive hands on class that exceeds the state requirements conducted in a safe and positive environment at an affordable price by an experienced certified instructor.

The cost includes the state application packet, assistance with all paperwork, use of a firearm, ammunition and safety equipment, required photograph for you new CCW and fingerprinting done at the class by a law enforcement agency as required by Florida law.
When you have finished our class you will have a completed application packet ready to be mailed to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, Division of Licensing in the pre-addressed envelope or dropped off at one of their regional offices. To apply for the Florida concealed carry weapons permit you must meet the state requirements. It is required that you are Twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of applying. You must be either a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status. For individuals born outside the United states proof of citizenship or permanent resident status must be submitted with your application.
All applicants U.S. or foreign born are required to pass a criminal background check conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
If you are uncertain of your eligibility concerning the background check you can check at the Division of Licensing website by filling out a short questionnaire without having to provide your name. Follow this link to use the on-line questionnaire.
Your Florida concealed carry weapons permit is good for seven years. You can renew in seven year increments for only $45. Renewals can be mailed in, done in person at a Division of Licensing regional office or completed online.
The Florida Concealed weapons or firearm license is recognized in thirty-six additional states outside of Florida. To view a list of the states that share reciprocity with Florida please click on this link. The list is always kept current by the Division of Licensing
If you are an honorably discharged U.S. military veteran you are not required to take this course. A copy of your DD 214 will suffice as proof of firearms training.
Retired Florida law enforcement officers are not required to take a firearms safety training class. A copy of tenure from your former employer will be required to submit with your application.
